Programmatic Job Advertising, Explained
What "programmatic" actually means for job ads, and specifically what Expertini's Programmatic Job Ads tool does and doesn't do.
"Programmatic" gets used loosely enough in job advertising that it's worth being precise: it generally means automated, rules-based buying and allocation of ad placements rather than a single flat-fee listing purchased once. This page explains the category, then describes exactly what Expertini's own Programmatic Job Ads tool does — a fixed-rate, pay-per-click distribution purchase against Expertini's own network, not a real-time auction across external ad exchanges.

01The category, generally
Programmatic job advertising typically covers two pricing models — cost-per-click (CPC), where an employer pays for each click regardless of what happens after, and cost-per-application (CPA), where payment is tied to a completed application — plus, in some platforms, real-time bidding across a network of ad exchanges. The common thread is that distribution is bought and allocated by rules and budget rather than manually negotiated per placement. Each of these pieces — CPC vs CPA, real-time bidding, ROI measurement — is covered in more depth on its own page linked below.
02What Expertini's Programmatic Job Ads tool actually does
Every job on Expertini already gets free, automatic distribution to all network country sites worldwide in the network on publish — that's included in every plan and isn't what this tool is for. The Programmatic Job Ads tool is for teams who want to push additional, paid click volume to a specific high-priority role: you purchase a click package (a minimum of 50 clicks per order) through a real Stripe PaymentIntent, and delivery is tracked against that order — clicks bought versus clicks delivered, spend, and resulting applications — until the order's clicks are used up or it expires 90 days after purchase, whichever comes first.
03What it deliberately isn't
It is not real-time bidding across external ad exchanges — there's no auction happening per impression against other advertisers' bids; it's a fixed per-click rate against Expertini's own owned network. It's also not a CPA model — you're paying for delivered, verified clicks (with fraud and duplicate filtering applied before a click counts, covered on the Click Fraud Protection page), not for a completed application. Both of those are legitimate models used elsewhere in the industry; this tool is deliberately the simpler of the two, in exchange for transparent, predictable unit economics.
04When it's worth using versus relying on the included distribution
The free network mirroring every job already gets is often sufficient for a role with adequate applicant flow. The paid tool earns its cost specifically when a role is urgent, hard-to-fill, or under-performing on organic reach alone, and you want to see — in the order tracking view — exactly what additional click volume you bought and what it produced, rather than guessing whether extra spend helped.
