01Employer verification
A "Verified" badge on a public company profile page indicates an active, paid Pro or Enterprise subscription — a meaningful signal since a fraudulent operator burning a real payment method for a scam listing is a much less common pattern than free-tier abuse.
02What we watch for
Listings requesting upfront payment from candidates, asking for bank details before an offer, or impersonating a real company's brand without a matching verified account are the classic red flags — reported listings matching these patterns are investigated and removed.
03Reporting a suspicious listing
Use the report link on any public job listing, or email safety@expertini.com with the job URL. We aim to review flagged listings quickly given the direct harm risk to candidates.
04Confidential agency postings, specifically
The Client CRM's confidential-posting feature masks a client's identity from candidates (showing an industry/size description instead) — it is not a mechanism for hiding a fraudulent listing's true nature, and abuse of that feature is treated the same as any other policy violation.
05For candidates: how to recognise a scam listing anywhere
The patterns repeat across every job platform, so they're worth knowing cold. A legitimate employer never asks you to pay — not for equipment, training, background checks, or "processing." Never share bank details before you have a real offer from a verified identity, and treat "we'll send you a cheque, keep some and forward the rest" as the fraud it always is. Be suspicious of interviews conducted entirely over chat apps with no video or voice, offers extended faster than any real hiring process runs, and recruiter messages from free webmail addresses claiming to represent large companies. 06What happens after you report
Reports go to a human review, prioritised by harm potential — a listing soliciting payments from candidates is handled with more urgency than a suspected duplicate posting. Confirmed-fraudulent listings are removed along with the account behind them, and patterns from confirmed cases feed back into what gets watched for. We don't publish response-time guarantees we can't always keep, but candidate-harm reports are treated as the top of the queue, and reporting in good faith is never held against a reporter — including when the report turns out to be a false alarm. Security vulnerabilities (as opposed to fraudulent content) have their own channel via the Security Center.
